Application

The grease for hammer lubrication is used, first of all, for the chisel tools greasing, hammer toole bushings and tool retainers. In addition to the lubrication function, the grease also serves for partial sealing (prevents dust from entering the hammer) and for partial removal of heat from the chisel tool and chisel bushing.
Grease for hammers is a special grease with special characteristics (the basis is mineral oil with aluminum, graphite and copper additives) adapted to the temperature range of -20°C - 200°C.

The regular grease or the one used to lubricate the bearings on excavators has NO properties as a grease for hammer chisels and this grease melts and evaporates on the chisel and has no lubrication effect.

Users often neglect lubrication by using whatever grease is available, and some don't even lubricate at all. This kind of behavior is irresponsible and results in frequent breakage of tools, wearing out of bushings and piston breakage. Negligible savings on grease can cause far greater costs and damage to the hammer.
