Dampers, Plates, Plugs

They can mostly be found on silenced hammers. These elements belong to the group of parts for protection against vibration and noise.

Usage

Shock absorbers are located on top of the impact mechanism, on the bottom of the mechanism and sometimes on the side under the cylinder head. They separate the steel impact mechanism from the steel hammer case and keep the impact mechanism pressed in the hammer box.

Plates are located on the sides, front or back of the impact mechanism and separate it from the hammer box.

The plugs are used to close the technical holes on the hammer box and their function is to prevent dust from entering the box and protect against noise.

Maintenance

Regular visual inspection and timely replacement of worn elements. Correct bottom, top and side shock absorbers must provide the top shock absorber with height above the hammer box line for the adapter plate to press against. The wear of only one shock absorber entails damage to other shock absorbers as well as the plates, which leads to the movement of the impact mechanism inside the hammer box during operation.
